The Sharjah Human Resources Directorate (SHRD) announced that the “Waffer” loyalty and discounts program has started issuing the second batch of Waffle cards for retired holders of Sharjah Family Book.

This year, the program issued the first batch of saving cards for retirees last October, contributing in ensuring the well-being of a larger segment of the people of the Emirate of Sharjah, with enabling them to achieve financial stability.

The "Waffer" card offers many privileges, discounts and facilities for its holders in more than (701) companies and institutions participating in the program, within (30) various commercial classifications. It is constantly keen on marketing and announcing new companies that join the program, so that the beneficiary can get to know all the companies' products and services by entering the website, Instagram and the smart application to benefit from the discounts and offers offered.

The program seeks to expand the base of its beneficiaries to include the largest possible segment. As it currently serves more than 61 thousand beneficiaries, including all employees and retirees of departments, entities, institutions and bodies of the Sharjah government, and beneficiaries of various categories.

His Excellency His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources (SDHR) explained that the expansion of the base of beneficiaries of the Waffer program to include retirees from the Emirate of Sharjah came in implementation of the wise recommendations of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aiming to provide all services and facilities for the people of the emirate, promoting solidarity and social cohesion.

He has expressed the success of the program in attracting companies from various sectors, aiming to provide the best exclusive offers in various commercial classifications. He stressed the SDHR’s keenness to adopt various initiatives and programs that achieve the vision of the wise leadership of the Emirate of Sharjah.
